Dr. (HC) Hendarman Soepandji, SH., CN., as the Founder of Hendarman Law Firm (HLF), is the former Attorney General (2007-2010) and the Head of National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPN RI) (2012-2014). After graduated from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro in 1972, he began his career as state attorney in 1973 at the East Kalimantan High State Attorney at Balikpapan. Throughout his career being state attorney, Hendarman Soepandji held several positions among others Section Head of P3 (Penuntutan dan Penyelesaian Perkara or Prosecution and Case Settlement) East Kalimantan High State Attorney, then as a state attorney at South Jakarta District State Attorney, and afterwards mutated as state attorney at Intelligent Operation Center of the State Attorney of the Republic of Indonesia, continued as Section Head of Bogor District State Attorney and Head of Section of Intelligent General Criminal Act Counter Measures (1975-1990), assigned as State Attorney Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok (1990-1995), Head of Education and Training Centre of Attorney General Office (1995-1996), State Administration and Civil Assistant on South Sumatera High State Attorney (1996-1997), special staff of General Attorney and in the same year appointed as Head of Financial Bureau of the Attorney General Office (1998-2002), and was entrusted as the Head of High State Attorney Yogyakarta (2002-2004), and Secretary of Deputy Attorney General of Supervisory (JAMWAS) (2004-2005).

He had a remarkable career when appointed as the Deputy Attorney General of Special Crime (JAMPIDSUS) on 2005 during the leadership of Abdul Rahman Saleh as Attorney General. Throughout the duty serving as JAMPIDSUS, he was trusted by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to lead the Corruption Criminal Act Eradication Team (Timtas Tipikor), formed by the President to provide intensive effort in eradicating corruption act. In view of his brilliance in performing the duty as JAMPIDSUS and the Head of Timtas Tipikor, he was then entrusted by the President to replace the position of Abdul Rahman Saleh as the Attorney General in 2010.

Subsequent to stepping down as Attorney General, he established Hendarman & Associates Counsellors at Law, the forerunner of HLF. In 2012, he was re-appointed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to serve the State as the Head of BPN RI, and vacuum from Hendarman & Associates Counsellors at Law. After stepping down as the Head of BPN of the Republic of Indonesia, he then established HLF together with his lawyers from his previous law firm. With his expertise and experience as Attorney General and Head of BPN of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the insight concerning law he possessed, he is the right figure to overcome and handle the litigation and land issues in Indonesia.
